You can select your RAW files form your S5D and then change the model from S5D to S5. C1 recognises the images after that tweak and you can edit them. It really works, and does not have any consequences on the image. The minor downside is that the program is not free, but it’s by far not very costly.
If you’re a MAC user, there is a work around. I’m using “Better Finder Attributes Exif manager”. ( https://www.publicspace.net/ABetterFinderAttributes/ )

S5D is the newer version of S5, the RAW files have different encoding, so it's not possible to open them with any version of Capture One.
Panasonic Lumix S5D (2024 October) Conversion not possible. Only Panasonic S5 conversion possible.
