I am in the same exact situation, and it is already the fourth time I am contacting technical support and they respond in a very approximate and somewhat misleading manner. It is a shame that, since the machine was released a year ago, no system has been released to allow me to view it, and it compresses everything for me. Lightroom has been out for over a year with its latest update, and the only way I have to read the files, as a sports photographer, is to convert them to DNG files, wasting a lot of time. I hope someone will listen to us and update the software as soon as possible.
I was not aware that Capture one does not support this type of files. I have been using C1 for a very long. time. Please correct this issue. Thank you in advance!
Please add support for Sony a7r VI compressed raw files. I am reverting to Lightroom for these files because Capture One does not yet support them. I hope you can provide support soon. I prefer using Capture One over Lightroom but without support for these files I will end up cancelling my Capture One subscription and transferring several years worth of Capture One catalogs to Lightroom.
