Any news on this? It would really be a quick win. As we demonstrated the TZ200D/ZS200D/TZ202D camera is the same as the “non-D” model. RAW files are identical, if you change the camera model with exiftool C1 imports them just fine.
I put some pictures of our new Panasonic DC-TZ202D (each as JPG and RW2) on my Synology Photodisk. You can download one or many of them using this Link:
377273388398 Could I get you to send over a few RAW files so that I can verify the behavior of this? You can just send a download link in a comment and I'll take a look, if that's ok with you.
None of the "similarity" matters, René - in support terms, it's a different camera, and one which Capture One doesn't currently handle.
The one which is supported is more than 5 years older than yours, and that's a lifetime in camera terms - I'd be horrified if Panasonic has simply rebadged a "prehistoric" camera.
As to whether support will be provided - no idea. I'm a user, just like you.
I think that the DC-TZ202D is a very different camera than the one noted here:
Your camera was not released until September 2022:
that's around 5 years after version 11 was released, so clearly the camera shown in the Capture One support page isn't the one you're using now - yours isn't supported, apparently.
For the import, I use the import button. In the resulting fiile viewer, I can only see the jpg-Files, not the rw2's of the new Panasonic camera. I am using sessions.
I also tried the following:
a) download a sample .rw2-file of the camera DC-TC202 (without 'D').
b) try to import into session: all worked fine.
I am using Capture One 23 Pro Version 16.1.2.44.
Attached two screenshots:
C1_1.jpg: C1's import window, only showing jpg's
C1_2.jpg: Windows File viewer with the contents of the selected directory, showing jpg's and rw2's.

However it’s an annoying step in the workflow.
Tank you. I have been succesful with:
exiftool -model="DC-TZ200" *.rw2
Have a good christmas time.
I confirm TZ202D is the same camera as TZ202/TZ200 etc. Panasonic only replaced the display because the original one was not available anymore.
If you change the camera model to DC-TZ200 with exiftool it opens just fine.
exiftool -model="DC-TZ200" myfile.RW2
Hi Jack
thank you for your interest in the problem.

This is treated as a different camera and support would have to be implemented for this particular model, separate from the TZ202.

Hi Keith
No, I don't think the 202D is totally different from the 202, which is supported by Capture One.
According to some information in German (https://www.digitalkamera.de/Meldung/Panasonic_Lumix_DC-TZ202D_lost_TZ202_ab/13269.aspx) the only difference is the monitor on the backside with a better resolution. Panasonic had to act, since the old monitor wasn't available any more.
Do you think, Capture One will support the 202D-RAW's in the near future?
Happy easter days

How are you importing the files? And which version of Capture One are you using?
