canon eos 7d tether to capture one mobile (iphone/ipad) crashes app immediately

Which device are you using?

ipad pro (12,9 inch, 5th generation, m1, 512 gb ssd, ios 17.1.1, apple usb-c to usb-a adapter)

also on iphone 13 pro (512 gb ssd, ios 17.1.1, apple lightning to usb-a adapter)

canon eos 7d (firmware 2.0.6 / latest)

What problem do you see this solving?

canon eos 7d connected to ipad/iphone -> start capture one mobile (2.2.1) -> switch on 7d -> capture one mobile is crashing immediately

further info: eos 5d mark 2, eos 5d sr, eos 100d are working fine, the apple photo app on ipad/iphone connects to the 7d without problems

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

still not able to connect my eos 7d to capture one mobile, despite the fact as the eos 7d is listed as compatible with capture one mobile tethering

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals?

using my other canon eos bodies, which are working fine (eos 5d mark 2, eos 5d sr, eos 100d)

just tried to report the problem through the given support link, but i cant submit because "Log files and a screen recording must be attached!". there are no logfiles on ipad/iphone and screen recording is not possible, because the app crashes immediately. so, after numerous times reporting this problem, i give up on this. please forward this to your developers, as i am convinced every canon 7d user has this problem. i hope in a future release this will be fixed. kind regards.

hello evi k, just tested connecting 7d in correct order as mentioned with the capture one mobile app (newest version 2.2.2 released today) –> same problem/crash. but no problem with connecting the 7d to the apple photo app on the same device (ipad pro/iphone pro). as another user in the forum has the same problem it seems to be a bug with this camera and capture one mobile app. so i will report this to support.

This is not a feature request. This should be addressed as a support case.
