May I ask why USB tethering is not good enough for the night sky photography?
Capturing images of the night sky can involve many hours. It is usual to run the camera and other equipment remotely. Being limited by a short usb cable is an issue if you do not want the computer (or the photographer) to be exposed to the elements for extender periods of time. Capturing a meteor shower, for example, means an extended session of time-lapse images which usually runs unattended.
What are the specific struggles you have when you are facing right now that wireless tethering with your camera is not available?
I have just purchased a Nikon Zf as a replacement for my Z7 (currently on backorder). The new Zf has WiFi and the same processor as the Z9 and Z8. So I was hoping to be able to use Capture One tethering to control the camera and import the images directly into a session. This will certainly simplify the workflow and minimize the equipment exposed to the elements.
The "Unleased '22" from foolography is an option but I would rather not spend extra money for functions that seem to be possible with Capture One.
Thanks for your reply and consideration of this added feature!
