"What problem do you see this solving?
The most recent version of C1 iPad seems to be slower when rendering images at 100% zoom (at least with Canon R and Phase IQ4150 files) than previous releases. When shooting tethered, I’ll often check at ‘fit’ view, and then double-click to check focus as I’m using manual-focus lenses on a tech cam. On an iPad Pro M1, it now routinely takes 4-5 seconds (longer if file is a DualExposure+ file) of showing a pixelated file before the full view snaps in. More than a few times, this has confused me into thinking that something is out of focus when I just have to wait a bit longer. Previous releases were if not absolutely faster, more consistent—you aren’t having to watch the image paint by quarter-screen-fulls.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Almost every shot on the last couple of shoots this week
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? Swearing. Distracting the client with small talk. Coffee or other adult beverages while waiting for rendering. |
Hello 370116679418, thanks for the feedback. We did some changes on the image rendering with our last release, so it seems that you have spotted an issue. Can you please write to me at eke@captureone.com and we can take it from there with my colleagues?
Thanks a lot!
