Hey 373605796717, bringing layers and masks to mobile will take us at least a few months. This is something that has a completely different UI comparing to the rest of the editing tools so it requires significant effort. Our next update will be on improving tethering in terms of stability and Live view. Editing improvements will come a bit later.
Importing from albums is something we could do sooner, it's on our list, we just need to find the time to do it along with everything else.
Hi Evi, will this come in the new mobile version of Capture One? When will be the update? I hope some functionality to come - especially masks, levels, curve. That would be so great to have these very common editing tools available. Thank you for looking into it.
Thanks 373605796717, I finally got the time to properly read all the other threads and read your thorough response in one of them. I can tell you that everything you have asked for is very relevant and I believe we will start working on some of them really soon. I will keep you posted and thanks for all your thorough responses!
Hi Evi, it is still me - so I did not include all the questions again in this post , but happy to answer the relevant ones around the feature request:
What is my alternative so far?
Either using Lightroom mobile or Darkroom, where I can access subfolders or in Capture One mobile scrolling until I find the files I am looking for.
Why is it important?
If I have saved files in subfolders in the camera roll this would be super time saving of course compared to searching for the images through the whole images on the camera roll. This is very cumbersome and time consuming and I think this should be easily implementable - especially filtering for RAW would help a lot.
Thank you for looking into this and considering customer feedback.
Hey 373605796717, there is no way to do this with our current version of the app. We are investigating ways of improving import and importing from specific albums from Photos with the team. So I will share an update once we have something tangible in our plans. Can you please use the suggested template (see pinned post) and provide some context? Why is this an important feature for you? What type of photography are you into and what is the alternative you use today since we don't have this feature available?
