Many cameras (in my case the Nikon Z6iii, Z8, and Z9) support HLG images.
HLG images have a significantly different histogram. It would be great to have C1 support HLG (maybe as a base characteristic when it finds the HLG tag) to apply an acceptable curve.
Also, This would impact the culling feature as right not HLG images look muddy in the culling processor.
Current workaround
I either use another tool... In a pinch, I also have some presets saved.
Many modern cameras like Nikon Z8 offer Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), which provides a higher dynamic range. It was developed for HDR-workflow. Capture One doesn't yet support this feature. However, it would be very beneficial if Capture One supported all the features these cameras offer. Technology is constantly evolving, and a wider dynamic range is important in many areas of photography. At the very least, it would be desirable to be able to open HLG images, just as it is possible with other RAW converters. Nikon NX Studio offers automatically a tool for opening HLG files when you try to open these images for the first time.
