Properly Clean Up Batch Queue Folders

Capture One does not properly clean out batch queue folders.

  • the current batch queue folder grows without bounds

  • batch queue folders associated with prior versions are not deleted

When we "Clear Batch History" Capture One should clean out the current batch queue folder and delete the prior version batch queue folders.

This affects the desktop app. It may affect the mobile apps.

This impacts startup times as Capture One has to read in the history each time it starts.

This consumes unnecessary disk space (gigabytes and tens of thousands of files).

Current workaround

Users have to discover the issue as it is not documented, and they have to manually delete / clear out the batch queue folders.

    Hello Walter!

I'm not sure how widespread this really is.

I just tried it on my machine and although the history was a long list, after clearing the list and looking into the folder "~/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Batch Queue 15.0/" there were two tiny files in it: "Batch Queue Processed Job List.xml" and "Batch Queue Pending Job List.xml", each 276bytes light...

So at least it worked for me...

This really needs addressing! The files seem to be a log on the processed output queue - not sure what use they are once the export is complete.
