Currently I make sure to add to my top Toolbar "Capture" and "Battery Status" which I habitually check. Before this forum existed I emailed them about this at least ones years ago and it was never implemented. Now with silent shutters, its even worst. With wireless tethering (god forbid you use this) the camera will appear connected and nothing is coming in and you have no idea if something has failed or not (it probably failed and hopefully those files were written card but sometimes that fails too because the camera goes into a weird state thinking its connected when its not).
