FOR ON-SET PHOTO PRODUCTIONS:
Add FOLLOW SELECTED toggle to Live for Studio.
Currently Live for Studio defaults to FOLLOW CAPTURE.
Sometimes photographer or client would like LfS to work like a Client Viewer where they can call out an image for me to pull up (digitech).
Basically they want everything. They want to be able to see the current photo and be able to swipe back anytime (this is an important distinction and why a Client Viewer isn't the solution), but also they sometimes want me to be able to pull up a photo for them which is not part of the current functionality.

Current workaround
The workaround is for me to switch the iPad over to Sidecar mode and then remove it from Sidecar when we resume. Unfortunately this is not a very fast and causes a few other headaches. Also as stated before the swiping functionality is key to the workflow so a clientviewer option on the ipad is not an option. There are more elaborate workarounds, involving streamdeks and additional keyboards and such but a FOLLOW SELECTED toggle on the computer side would be optimal. |
