Multiple Skin Tone Targets Per Layer in Advanced Color Editor

As a regular user of Capture One's Advanced Color Editor, I've found the skin tone adjustment capabilities to be incredibly versatile - not just for skin, but for precise color adjustments across various subjects. However, the current limitation of one target per layer creates unnecessary workflow complications.

If multiple targets per layer isn't feasible in the short term, an alternative solution could be the implementation of layer groups or folders. This would allow for better organization of related adjustments and unified masking at the folder level, while maintaining the current single-target functionality.

Key benefits of this feature:

  • Cleaner, more efficient workflow

  • Simplified mask management

  • Better organization of related color adjustments

  • Reduced layer panel clutter

This enhancement would align perfectly with Capture One's emphasis on professional workflow efficiency while maintaining the precise control that photographers need.

Current workaround

While it's possible to work around this by stacking multiple layers, this approach leads to cluttered layer management and more complex masking requirements. The ability to select multiple color targets within a single layer would streamline the editing process significantly.
