Cheap consumer version without Tether

I understand that the Capture One price makes sense for professional studios, it could be even more expensive for that.

However, there are very many hobby photographers that would love to use Capture One, but don't because it is much too expensive for that.

My suggestion would be to release a fully featured, much cheaper consumer version, but with the Tether feature removed, which mostly targets professionals.
