Tuning options for the Ai selection tool

The ai selection tool is blazing fast but inaccurate.
It often fails to track simple shapes even if the borders are clear and well contrasted.
It creates noisy borders instead of consistent hardness, neither hard or feathered.

Please give us a (right click) context menu with two main options:

  • Basic: speed/accuracy slider

    • current feature's operation feels like 80/20 towards speed

  • Advanced:

    • Resolution: how deeply the tool should analyse the image

    • Hardness/Opacity/Flow: same as for drawn mask brush

First attached image has low contrast, but an Ai should be able to deal with it:

  • An airplane is a well defined geometric shape, straight lines and well defined curves

  • Despite recognising the whole shape, single click only selects an irregular part of the shape

  • Feathering of the mask is irregular

Second (and consequent images) attached image have really high contrast

  • Some hard edges (nose of the plane or tail-plane) are left out of the mask

  • Annotated areas have fuzzy noisy participation in the mask despite high contrast

    • with multiple layers of mask these small patches are easily amplified

Current workaround

Manual border adjustment with brush selection tool

There is a phenomenon (which I come across moderately often) that a part of the image, which is illuminated as "found" in preview, just isn't considered by the final AI selection. Which is annoying – and leads to manual adjustment (see above).

Same request: Please fix it / give a way to "persuade" AI selection to do what it's pretending.
