On Windows, "Show in Explorer" should call the default file manager and not Windows File explorer

Windows is delivered with standard fie manager, the "Windows File Explorer". However, users are free to install alternatives (better) manager like DOpus, OneCommander. And user can also set in the settings a default file manager.

Then, when a program call the file manager, the appropriate fie manager is opened. For Example, DOPus. Most of the programs follow this rule.

But CaptureOne does not. It always call the "wrong" file manager: the Windows File Explorer.

-> new feature: CaptureOne should follow the standard Windows program guide line and open the default file manager on "show in Explorer"

Current workaround
  • Install another file manager

  • set it as default

  • open C1 and issue a "Show in explorer" on a picture.

That also fits the catalog: Ignore Windows-Standards. I don't understand why. It should be easier to just apply the Windows-Functions instead of programming somthing new, that works differently without any benefit ...
