Normalize colour to Adjustment layer

I would like to be able to apply a "normalize colour" adjustment to an adjustment layer and not the entire image. We are dialing in colour from and on-figure and off-figure studio seet up and using a reference image to bring the two images together in colour. The on-figure cant have the entire image be affected as it would affect the skin tone and we use the Ai brush to select the product. I've found that the normalize colour adjust get us closer than any other adjustment but I cant paste it onto an adjustment later which I find suprising!
