I want to DELETE FOLDERS not just hide them

Please note: to me this a more like a design error than a feature request.
Ever tried to delete a folder In the catalog? Well, this what is going to happen.

Capture one Pro first makes you jump to several hoops (are you really sure? Etc.) and then tells you that the folder is going to disappear, BUT IT STILL EXISTS ON DISK. In other words, it doesn’t delete the folder, it simply hides it.

To me this is ridiculous and very user unfriendly. I have been using computers for well over 40 years and I can’t think of a single application that second guesses my intentions and refuses to do what it’s supposed to do.



Current workaround


if the idea behind this grotesque “feature” is to protect the user from accidentally deleting a folder why not put the folder in the catalog trash, as it’s done for individual photos?

Alternatively, just put the damn folder in the Finder trash can, where one can retrieve it at any time.

The current approach not only is user unfriendly, but contribute to leave on disk a lot of trash that unnecessarily takes up precious disk space.
