If you make the masked area visible during drawing it's difficult to evaluated the effects in many cases. If you use the style-brush freehanded you often have to erase wrong parts afterwards. This takes at least much time and still often remains unsatisfying. It's easier to produce a perfect mask first which then could limit the effects of the style-brush exactly to the mask's borders."}]}]}
A workaround I can offer with today's implementation:
First, use a style brush anywhere on the image
Then, clear the mask (it will retain the adjustments of the style brush but not where you have drawn)
Finally, use an AI tool for example, or any other tool that helps you make a precise selection. The adjustments from the original style brush are still there but you have been able to create the mask you wish.
Hi Hans-Peter, thanks for the suggestion!
