Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
After watching the recent Live Session on Styles, it became clear that it is difficult to find out which tools where actually used on an image/vriant - either by myself or by a style.
Currently, Capture One gives no indication of which tools have actually been used on a given image. With layers and tool reordering , it’s easy to lose track, particularly when adjustments were made indirectly (e.g. via a style or speed edit). This leads to unnecessary tool-hunting and makes revisiting older edits slower than necessary.
It would be nice to have a visual indicator in the UI to quickly get a glimpse of what was used.
Implementation:
Add a subtle, non-distracting symbol left of each tool’s name to reflect whether the tool has been used, and if so, on which layer(s):
No symbol = Tool is unused across all layers (default state)
○ (empty circle) = Tool has adjustments, but not on the currently selected layer
● (filled circle) = Tool has adjustments on the currently selected layer
This would allow a quick visual scan of a tab to understand which tools are active, without going thought all tools and potentially toogle before/after/reset on the tool
Additionally: “Used Tools” Overview Panel
Since not all tools are always open or visible, an optional overview panel could list all used tools per layer. This would allow:
Quick overview of what’s been applied where
A clearer understanding of layered edits and style-based adjustments
Clicking on a tool name to jump to and expand it

Current workaround
None, other than manually check each tool an shift-click the reset icon to see if changes have been made. |
