Capture One exhibits inconsistent rendering of layer and preset effects between separate sessions, despite identical configuration parameters.

In my daily work, I use Capture One's layer feature extensively, especially when applying multiple layers to process image effects—it’s incredibly convenient. However, I’ve also encountered some challenges while using it. Below are the issues I’ve identified:

After setting up all my layer presets on the first day and achieving satisfactory results, I sometimes need to use the same lighting, composition, and preset effects again on the second day. To do this, I create a new session and copy or import the first day’s image presets or EIP files into the second day’s session. However, during this process, the applied presets on the second day display differently from the first day—including but not limited to white balance, tint, saturation, contrast, etc.

What’s puzzling is that the shooting environment, lighting conditions, light ratios, and composition on the second day were 100% identical to the first day. Even the camera, lens, and computer remained unchanged. I’m unsure whether this is a bug or some other underlying issue.

Current workaround

No viable workaround has been found at this time.

Hi there, I suggest reaching out to our support team to figure out what is happening, but this isn't the expected behavior.

I will make this as "not a feature request".
