Percentage-Based Cropping in Capture One

Currently, Capture One allows cropping only in absolute units such as centimeters, millimeters, inches, or pixels.
I would like to propose adding a percentage-based cropping option, where the user can specify the crop area as a percentage of the original image dimensions.

This would be especially useful for photographers working with cameras that provide digital zoom or in-camera cropping metadata (such as the Fuji X100V), enabling quick and consistent application of crops like 50% (2× zoom) or 25% (4× zoom) without manual calculations.

Benefits:

  1. Faster and more precise workflow when applying uniform crops to multiple images.

  2. Improved automation possibilities when combined with styles or presets.

  3. Useful for both still photography and batch processing in professional environments.

Thank you for considering this improvement. I believe percentage-based cropping would save time for many users and streamline the editing process.
