You are unable to choose the option in keyboard shortcuts to assign a key to the flip drop down menu in the rotation window.
The only way to flip and image is by selecting the command from the drop down menu.
ALL Functions should be able to be assigned in the keyboard shortcuts menu and this option is missing.
I am using cultural heritage and this function would be extremely useful.

This would be a big help for very little programming effort. Flipping your image is a good way to evaluate the composition, but going through the menus reduces its value because with all that clicking you've forgotten what you were thinking. What's needed is a simple shortcut to flip and to flip back, vertically and horizontally. Thank you!
This feature has become more important since support for Negative Film was added. When scanning negatives with a camera, it is common to shoot from the back of the film, which produces horizontally flipped images. Having a keyboard shortcut would be an easy solution, especially for flipping images in bulk.
