Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Hello, it would be really great if you could implement proper NAS support for Capture One Studio/Pro. I think nowadays lots of us are building large arrays for all our media (not only photos) and moving away from simple DAS storage, as NAS allows much more flexibility. The hardware prices are really going down. I recently purchased an 8 bay Ugreen Nas and I don't think I will be the only one in the near future, especially since 2, 4 and 6 bays are becoming much more available at very low price point, much less than a typical Hardware Raid array with the same speed (ethernet 10G/Thunderbolt and ssd cache).

Current workaround
I know the best practice/workaround is to store the session database (.cosessiondb) on your computer and keep the files on the NAS but I don't think it will cut it as file access/adjustment tend to be super slow for no reason. I get 1.4GB/s read speed with my unit and 1GB/s Write speed, so that's definitely no bottleneck. |
