Enhanced Organization of Styles and Presets in Capture One

Current Limitation

At present, custom styles and presets in Capture One can only be organized through the operating system’s file system (macOS Finder / Windows Explorer). Within Capture One itself, managing large collections of styles is unintuitive and time-consuming. Professionals frequently work with hundreds of styles and presets across different projects, and the lack of in-app organization slows workflows and increases the likelihood of mistakes.

Proposed Enhancement

Introduce advanced organizational features within Capture One for managing custom styles and presets, including:

• The ability to organize styles and presets into customizable folders.

• Support for tagging (e.g., by use case such as portrait, street, product, or by type such as black & white, retro, clean).

• Search and filter options for rapid access to specific styles.

Expected Benefits

• Improved efficiency by streamlining style and preset management.

• Reduced risk of workflow errors caused by navigating large, unorganized style libraries.

• Enhanced consistency across projects through faster access to relevant styles.

• A more professional and scalable toolset for photographers working with extensive style collections.

Impact

This functionality would align the Styles and Presets tool with the efficiency and flexibility already offered by the Library tab, significantly enhancing Capture One’s usability for daily professional work

Current workaround
