Improve Capture One

I am a sports photographer and I pre-cull on my camera by locking/protecting my selected images in camera. I then use Photomechanic to import only the locked/protected images which saves time and storage space. After this i usually open Capture One to do my edits.
It would be nice to reduce the number of applications i need to use by having said feature available in Capture One.

The question is whether Capture One is able to distinguish locked files from files that aren't locked. The fact that it doesn't respect locked files seems to indicate that it isn't.
