Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
As a solo tethered photographer, I often simulate a collaborative shoot (e.g., where a director or assistant controls the shutter) but lack built-in tools for precise automation. I'd love an advanced intervalometer feature in Capture One to handle this seamlessly, with options for:
Frequency: Shots per interval (e.g., 3 shots every 30 seconds).
Time between intervals: Adjustable delays (e.g., 1-5 minutes).
Number of intervals: Total cycles (e.g., 10 intervals).
Overall session duration: Set a max time (e.g., 2 hours) to auto-stop.
This would be invaluable for time-lapse workflows too, reducing reliance on external hardware. Bonus: Allow saving preset configurations (e.g., "Portrait Session" or "Time-Lapse") for quick switching via a dropdown in the tethered shooting panel.
Why it matters: Enhances solo productivity and creative control without extra gear, perfect for mobile or studio setups.
Note: This is a request that is similar, but more robust, than this existing request.

Current workaround
iPhone PROCAMERA app does exactly this. I don't currently have another solution for my larger (professional) cameras. I haven't looked at hardware intervalometers yet. |
Yes! This is very necessary! I’m producing a series of self-portraits and can’t use Capture One because it disables my camera’s intervalometer — I can’t use the tethering cable and the camera’s timer at the same time. I believe that adding an auto-shoot or intervalometer option would be very important! I started using Capture One Studio thinking it would have this feature, but I was disappointed.
