Dear Support Team,
When shooting tethered with a non-standard aspect ratio (e.g., 4:5), cropping behavior breaks down specifically when both portrait and landscape orientations are mixed. In such cases, unintended cropping occurs—for example, landscape images may be cropped vertically, or portrait images horizontally—resulting in compositions that differ from what was intended.
This issue does not occur when working exclusively with either portrait or landscape shots. However, for workflows that involve both orientations, it becomes a serious problem.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider implementing a more flexible cropping mechanism that can handle mixed orientations, or introduce automatic detection and assistance features based on aspect ratio and image orientation.
Such improvements would help users preserve their intended compositions and streamline tethered shooting workflows more effectively.
Thank you very much for your attention and consideration.
Best regards.
