Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
“I wanted to highlight an important issue with thumbnail previews when importing images from Canon HD cards with the HDRPQ function enabled. According to Canon support, Capture One currently does not handle the 10-bit HEIF/HEIC embedded previews from these HDR images and only allows JPEG previews, which blocks thumbnail generation. The problem disappears when shooting tethered because the camera streams images directly to Capture One, bypassing this limitation.Would it be possible for Capture One to prioritize implementing full 10-bit HEIF/HEIC import support specifically for these Canon HDR imports? This would significantly improve workflow for users who rely on card-based imports and HDR imaging. I understand it might require significant development effort, but it would align Capture One with other professional software supporting 10-bit HEIF natively.”

Current workaround
MY work around is keeping HDFPQ enabled so as to have the benefits from that mode to create higher dynamic range images with extended detail in shadow & highlight areas. The trade off? "NO THUMBNAILS AVAILABLE" wen importing from SD card. |
