IPTC Data Custom Shortcut capability

With Metadata Presets I would like to be able to add a short cut file also, I shoot a lot of sports and know in advance the teams details, rather than copy and paste the Description for each team I would like to use a short cut like /p15/ and this them automatically looks up this value in a txt shortcut file and replaces it with what is next to it ["Player 15 Name"] or whatever other caption I have defined.

The text file would look something like this and be loaded into capture one for a session.
/p1/ Player 1 at the Championship final for the sports event of the year.
/p2/ Player 2 at the Championship final for the sports event of the year.
/spec/ Spectator at the Championship final for the sports event of the year.
/off/ Official at the Championship final for the sports event of the year.

I prepare captions in advance for events knowing the competitors. Culling works really well in Capture One for Import, this last piece being able to define shortcuts that the IPTC fields will lookup from a custom txt file would make this the only tool I need for a complete sports workflow. This would give a clear advantage over LR and PhotoMechanical for press, sports and events photographers.

Current workaround

Possibly look at PhotoMechanic as the main culling and metadata tool, or what I do at the moment is have a text file open side by side with Capture One and copy and paste Headlines and Descriptions.

I found a way to do this using Espanso and a custom script. Wherever I type //{Value}-- it looks it up and replaces the text, it does this anywhere on the MacOS. It would be good to have this functions without the need for Espanso where the configuration file is maintained within a session so that it keeps the shortcut file for that session.
