Productivity Features

Hi Team,

Thank you for the great software, but I have some additions that I think would be a great idea in improving at least my time spent on organising/sorting through shots and narrowing down selections. Take the following scenario that I find myself in, working through 1500 images over a 2 day shoot. Let alone the other number of shoots or tasks I am working on besides this particular project and coming back to some with fresh eyes another time later.

• The ability to border colour a favourite images, the small icon is not enough and neither are the stars.

• Improve the filtering abilities on the folder structures we can create, and how we can put images in certain folders.

• Think story photo essay features.

• Adding post-it notes or something to attach to an image

• Improving the contact sheet export sizing features so we can customise it for our vision.

Upon sorting through the shots, I generally have the RAW and the JPG coming through to the laptop upon tethering. It's just the way I like to do it because the Leica SL2 is great for referencing the JPG as it is too difficult to emulate the look after from the RAW, or I just like to see colour and B/W next to each other for a particular lighting setup.

Also, just to note, I generally will use a new catalogue for every different model that is separate and not from the same agency. But initially, I started having separate catalogues because of my background in film post-production. So to prevent corrupt files or moving around files when required. I can't imagine why it is this way because if I were to want to sort out my limited space between hard drives, laptop and cloud. I regularly make a shoot offline and online from the cloud. So having one huge catalogue of large megapixel files does not seem to be as flexible for me at least.

I hope I have added enough context on why I think we should have some productivity improvements. I am still on 16.3.8, but I didn't see any improvements in the release notes for what I have suggested.
