Make an Entire Photo a Mask Layer Over Another Photo

Say you’re shooting a portrait and have a light or soft box in frame feathering light nicely over the subject but still in frame. Ok you can heal it out or mask in a blank plate in Photoshop. But what about skipping another program all together. What if you could right click a photo and make it a layer on a selected photo and then brush in where you would want to reveal it or hide it.

AND OR say you’re shooting an interior and the windows are way brighter than the interior and to expose correctly for the interior the windows are going to be blown way out. So you need to take shots of the windows properly exposed to mask in later in photoshop but that leave the interior way under exposed. Same solve as above.

AND what if you were shooting a landscape and taking a shot with a super long exposed shutter speed to get soft blurred clouds, but oh no that captures all the wiggle in the tree in the foreground from the wind! Well same solve as above.

Current workaround

Yea you have to export multiple photos you want to blend and then reimport them into photoshop as load files into stack and then mask them all in there. Then export and reimport into CO. Im no pro at this but thats my understanding.
