Hi, I will often create a new layer and begin typing its name without realizing that I first need to double-click on the layer and then name it. I would like it the system was designed such that every new layer must be named before it is activated. So you create the layer, name it. press return and you're good to go. It's a small thing, I know.
Hi Daniel. Thanks for the suggestion! This used to be the behavior many years ago but it was disliked by many users so it was changed. Not everyone likes to name all their Layers and it was seen as counter productive. It's unlikely that we will change it back since our insights show that most users like the way it is today.
Yes... When new layer creation button (+) is clicked, popup dialog should appear to allow user to enter layer name.
