Capture One is great but image comparison could be better, Like 3 up pages at once.

Hi Capture One team,

I use Capture One daily and it is central to my workflow. Overall, it is an excellent tool. There is one comparison feature that I feel is missing and that would significantly improve image selection.

When editing, I often want to browse images while seeing multiple large images at once. At the moment, comparison options feel limited, especially when trying to judge subtle differences across a sequence.

In Apple Aperture, it was possible to view 3 up or 5 up large images simultaneously, with all images advancing together as you move through a set. This made it much easier to compare small changes in light, expression, and composition without constantly switching views or losing context.

I would love to see a similar multi image comparison mode in Capture One, specifically a clean 3 up and 5 up large image view where images move together as you navigate. This would greatly improve culling and refinement, particularly for portrait, lifestyle, and interior photography.

Please watch the attached video for a clearer explanation of the workflow and why this feature would be so helpful.

Thank you for the continued development of Capture One and for considering this request.

Best regards

Paul

Hi Paul, thanks for your suggestion - I believe this does already exist, let me know if it helps: there is a shortcut for "next/previous set", which is by default associated with the opt/alt + arrow keys combination.

If you have 3 or 5 images displayed in the viewer and use this combination of keys, it will move to the next or previous group of 3 or 5 images.
