Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
System: MacOS
Most apps have an ability to hold down the option key or right click and have a duplicate option. The "Catalog" template works for larger projects, which I use for work, but I keep a personal library on an annual basis.
For example, I have a specific format for travel. I use the "Project" feature because I want to be able to view everything, then in segments using albums (often by day, location or theme). I also use smart albums for meta-data review (ratings, my thematic categorization and sometimes exposure time and lenses).
I want to be able to setup this format, then be able to right click or option drag to create a duplicate that I can use as a new blank project with all this formatting pre-done. I think thousands of others who use a single catalogues, even projects, would benefit from this.
Not only would it save an immense amount of time, it would support better overall organization and consistency. I'd literally save days of time per year with this. Using a new catalogue or session is not a reasonable option and introduced it's own time-consuming challenges.
Note: the ability to duplicate albums/projects, regardless of whether there are any assets in, should be a universal feature in C1. In fact, it's so expected (I work a lot in the Adobe ecosystem for design work) that I still find myself trying to option drag or right clicking only to then realize, "oh, C1 does not have this, i forgot. shoot."

Current workaround
None, it's all manual, taking a huge amount of time. The attached image can only serve as a reminder since when I use it, it's used. I then have to back and create each album and smart album manually for the next one. |
