What problem do you see this solving?
I have a two monitor setup:
(tools, adjustment of photos,...).
(selection of photos, organization, library).
I would like to open a secondary window on the 2nd monitor and switch it to grid mode, but you are not allowed to do it, because it's called "Viewer Window"
The Thing is: Sometimes when I press "g" it happens accidentally to switch to grid and it's obviously a bug but I like it!

Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? Because now it's only a bug, I wait for it to happen and immediately save the workspace so I can reload it. |
Love this suggestion as I have been trying to do this too. Even just having a more flexible workspace - move whole tool tabs to other screens (maybe have 2 possible tool tab locations) and the ability to lock the Activity Bar to a tab instead of it floating around over other tools would be great. I ultimately would love to have the Export Tab accessible on the side of the screen in its own dock instead of as a tool tab.
Don't suppose you could post the workflow XML file ? Might be something worthwhile in the XML that could be manually adjusted... (It will be in %USERDIR%\CaptureOne\Workspaces130 )
As a workaround I saved the faulty state as a workspace preset to recall it.
The problem why I don't use it often is, that it does not display file names, stars, colour labels...
I put an illustration in the original post to visualize what my goal is.
I like how the phrase "it's not a bug, it's a feature" for once can mean something useful and enjoyable.
