As I have been testing the new negative conversion feature on my negatives, I have noticed that in both black & white as well as color, C1 tends to convert to a much darker image than something like Negative Lab Pro or even manual conversion in C1. This could very well be my error in scanning but just something to look at as this feature gets more development. Happy to share negatives if needed!
