Subject: Feature Request – Image Comparison Mode in Capture One Live for Studio
Hello Capture One Team,
I use Capture One together with the Capture One Live for Studio iPad app in my photography studio so that clients can review and select images directly on an iPad during tethered shoots.
The system works very well overall, but there is one feature that would significantly improve the client selection workflow.
Current limitation
At the moment, clients can rate images with stars or color tags, but they cannot directly compare multiple images side-by-side.
In real studio situations (portraits, business headshots, etc.), clients often want to compare very similar shots before deciding which image they prefer.
Feature request
It would be extremely useful if clients could:
• select 2–4 images
• open them in a side-by-side comparison view on the iPad
• choose the preferred image using a checkmark or “final pick” marker
Example workflow
The client browses images on the iPad.
The client selects multiple images.
The client taps “Compare”.
The images open side-by-side in a comparison view.
The client marks the final choice with a checkmark.
Why this matters
Clients frequently want to compare small differences such as facial expressions, subtle pose changes, eye openness, or slight lighting variations. Without a comparison view, the selection process becomes slower and less intuitive.
Benefit
This feature would make Capture One Live for Studio an even stronger professional client-selection tool for tethered shooting environments and portrait studios.
Thank you for considering this request.
Best regards

I would find that very useful in my normal editing process.
