Delete Variants in Collection

I would love to be able to delete a variant completely, even the I am in a collection. SO I would suggest an option f.e. clicking an alt-left klick on a variant, so you can delete the variant completely, not only disconnect it from the collection.

I am not talking about fully delete an image instantly! I work with collections to sort different phases of a shoot, and edit inside the collection. Often I end up trying different variants of the same image, before I have a final vision for it. And when I am ready, I want the other variant deleted. But all that happens is the get disconnected from the collection. Thank you!
