Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
I'm extremely impressed by the recent implementation of DxO's DNG High Fidelity Compression which provides "perceptually lossless" export option for Linear DNG files. This is game-changing, especially for anyone who needs to process TIFF files in addition to RAW files.
I was testing it out and loaded DNG's created by DxO's Pure Raw into Capture One Pro and I didn't notice any degradation and the files were similar compared to my original RAW files and a fraction of exported TIFF files.
Ever growing library of source files is a serious concern for most photographers and the incredibly small footprint of these High Fidelity Compressed DNG files drastically reduce storage compared to exporting TIFF
.
As a side note it's not currently possible to repackage TIFF files into DNG using Capture One Pro at the moment, like you can with Adobe Lightroom. While DNG is often used for raw data, it can package TIFF images, potentially reducing file size through compression.
