Seeing how many images remain in each filtering category once a filter has been applied would be really handy.
For example, I have a catalogue of 1000 images, if i were to click on the filter for only 5 star images, the browser correctly shows "500 (filtered)", the numbers next to each of the filters in the tool would update to show how many of those filtered images remain in the other clickable criteria.
e.g. of those 500 filtered images, 200 of 500 are at 85mm focal length, or 100 are from "Camera Model A". When latching filters (Ctrl + click), the numbers should update and be visible instantly to save having to create a bespoke filter each time and waiting to see how many images match.
Filters like "focal length is greater than or equal to 33mm AND focal length less than or equal to 38mm" to capture all my images at approx. 35mm are useful to have as a smart album, but more often than not, it's easier to just Ctrl+Click on a bunch of filters. Using focal length as an example, I have images using every focal length possible from 16mm to 600mm and it would save time to just click on those which have images "remaining" when whittling down, displayed by a number (which is currently every image in the session or catalogue).

Current workaround
Ctrl+click on each filter and hope some images appear, or go through the process of creating more complex criteria and/or creating a smart album, again hoping some images appear. |
