Nowadays, all clients require multiple formats: 1x1, 3x4, 4x5, 9x16, 16x9, custom web banner, etc. It's nice to be able to include the crop ratio in the file name and/or create a sub folder with crop ratio, so the client has everything neatly organized when receiving files. It'd also be great to have a nicer way to keep variants that are only created for crop purposes in some way that doesn't mix with variants that are created for editing purposes.

Current workaround
At the moment, I create a Duplicate variant of the files I need to crop, place all variants with the same crop ratio in an Album named after the crop ratio and use the Album/collection name token to export my files and keep them well organized for delivery. It works, but having a token that matches the crop ratio name or ratio would be much easier and nicer. It'd also be nice to have a different variant, perhaps a "crop variant" or include "crop options" on a file, so we don't end up with 6-10 variants per file in Capture One. |
