In the Color Balance tool, I would like sliders that control how shadows, midtones and highlights overlap or transition into each other. This would work almost like a luminance-range balance, letting the user decide how far the highlight color affects the midtones/shadows, and how far the shadow color reaches into the midtones/highlights. This would allow much more precise color grading.
