The mask refinement tools are really slow and unintuitive.
Having to go to the dropdown menu to "add via brush" to paint on the mask and/or do the same to unpaint is wildly unintuitive, very slow and not efficient. Masking with brushes should have an instant reverse option like Photoshop - hit X and the black/white, paint/erase is flipped. Paint with a broad brush, flip and erase with a slightly smaller harder brush.
Currently it's like your drawing at your desk but your eraser is in the next room instead of your other hand. No one wants to make that trip every 2 seconds.

Current workaround
There is none aside from going back to the mask and selecting "add" or "subtract" and then choosing the method. Super cumbersome. |

Are you working on computers or on mobile?
On the computer, while you have a brush selected, pressing down the opt/alt key switches between brush and eraser.
