Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Hi Capture One Team,
I would like to submit a feature request regarding the visibility of Color Tags within the Browser / Grid View.
Current Behavior: Right now, when a color tag is applied to an image, it is displayed as a small square icon/dot underneath the thumbnail in the grid. While functional, this small dot can be quite difficult to spot quickly when scrolling through hundreds of images during a heavy culling session.
Proposed Enhancement: Instead of (or in addition to) the small dot, I would love to see an option to display a colored border/frame entirely surrounding the image thumbnail in Grid View, matching the color of the assigned tag (e.g., a solid red border for a red tag, green for green, etc.).
Why this matters (User Value):
High Visibility: A full border is significantly more visual and immediately recognizable than a small dot.
Faster Culling: It would drastically speed up the workflow when filtering or scanning through large catalogs visually.
Improved Ergonomics: It reduces eye strain by making tagged images instantly stand out in the grid.
A similar behavior exists in some other asset management tools, and bringing this level of quick visual feedback to Capture One’s grid view would be a massive quality-of-life improvement for high-volume photographers.
Thank you for considering this request and for your continuous work on improving the software!
Best regards,
Alain
