Often when shooting with a fast wide angle lens against a window in a dark room you get light circles ("snowballs") in the picture. They are dust on the front element. Wide open they are almost invisible but with small apertures they become more apparent and their edge becomes sharper.

Current workaround
Of course Lenspen and Rocket blower are your best friends. After the shoot I try to retouch them with dehaze, brightness and saturation tools. But I'd like too see a special tool which would automate things by creating the mask and matching the adjustments with the underlying image. |
