Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Many modern cameras are shipping without the older PTP or “mass storage” USB modes. They rely entirely on MTP.
Capture One does not support MTP. This means having to either:
1. Use an intermediate piece of software (“Image Capture” or Lightroom on macOS, both of which can access cameras via MTP) to import images to a temporary folder, then import to Capture One as a second step, resulting in duplicate files on disk, or,
2. Use a card reader, which requires removing the card from the camera for each import. (On my Ricoh GR IV, this is a hard-to-access micro-SD card, with likely fragile internal connections; it would be best to avoid inserting and removing the card frequently).
A quick search suggests several recent cameras including some Fujifilm models are relying on MTP for USB access.
It would be great if Capture One could support direct import from USB attached cameras over MTP.

Current workaround
Use Lightroom or Image Capture on macOS for USB MTP import. |
