Full IPTC metadata support in Capture One for iPad

Capture One for iPad currently only exposes a small subset of IPTC fields, while the desktop app supports the full IPTC schema (Headline, Caption/Description, Creator, Copyright Notice, Keywords, Location fields, Usage Terms, etc.) plus the ability to apply metadata presets on import.

This gap makes mobile unusable as a standalone tool for any real delivery workflow:

  • No metadata presets on iPad. On desktop I build IPTC presets once (copyright, creator, contact info) and apply them on import to every shoot. On iPad there's no equivalent, so metadata has to be added manually per file, per session — not scalable.

  • Missing fields, not just a simplified UI. Fields like Headline and full Copyright/Creator info aren't available at all on mobile, not just tucked away in a different menu. That means files shot and delivered straight from iPad are missing standard IPTC data required for stock, press, or client delivery.

  • The suggested workaround doesn't hold up. Support's answer is to add limited metadata on iPad, then use Cloud Transfer to finish the job on desktop — but that defeats the purpose of editing/delivering from iPad in the first place, and doesn't even work for files with layers or masks. If mobile can't do the full job, it's not a mobile workflow, it's a mobile preview tool.

  • Result: any photographer trying to shoot, edit, and deliver entirely from iPad has to keep a desktop machine in the loop just to fill in mandatory metadata — the exact workflow the iPad app is supposed to replace.

Request: bring full IPTC field parity to Capture One for iPad, including the ability to create/apply metadata presets on import, matching desktop functionality. Even a "default preset applied to all imports" option would solve 90% of this.
