Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
Copying local adjustments between layers or images currently ties the mask geometry and color/tonal parameters together, making it cumbersome to separate them quickly. I would like to suggest two main improvements:
Dedicated Shortcuts for Copying & Pasting Masks Only: Add dedicated customizable keyboard shortcuts for "Copy Mask" and "Paste Mask" that apply solely to the selection area without affecting or overwriting the receiving layer's color/exposure adjustments.
Independent Copy/Paste for Layer Adjustments (Color & Tonal Settings Only): Provide a direct action or option to copy only the adjustment parameters of a specific layer and paste them onto a different layer/image while keeping the destination layer's existing mask intact.
Having direct shortcuts or context menu items for these two independent actions would drastically streamline local adjustment and retouching workflows.

Current workaround
Currently, to copy color settings without changing the mask, I have to save a custom Style (excluding the layer/mask) and apply it to a new layer, or copy the layer via the Adjustments Clipboard and manually re-draw/clear destination masks. Furthermore, when I only want to copy a mask, I have to navigate to the context menu and select "Copy Mask From..." manually for every single image. Doing this for a high volume of images is extremely slow and inefficient, especially since there is currently no option to assign a custom keyboard shortcut for "Copy Mask From..." in the Edit Keyboard Shortcuts menu. |
