When doing skin retouching, healing, or dodging & burning, retouchers need to constantly compare their retouching work before and after without changing the overall color grade.
Currently, pressing "Y" resets the entire image back to its original state (including all color grading, curves, and white balance). This sudden color shift makes it extremely hard for the eyes to evaluate skin texture and retouching quality against the final color look.
I would like to request:
A dedicated shortcut/tool to toggle Before/After specifically for Retouch/Local Layers, allowing us to inspect skin edits while keeping all global color grading active.
Ability to group retouch layers or toggle multiple selected layers simultaneously with a single shortcut to instantly preview the complete retouching result.

Current workaround
Currently, the only workaround is to manually check/uncheck individual layer boxes in the Layers tool panel or use the "Toggle Layer On/Off" shortcut on a single active layer. Because skin retouching is often spread across multiple layers (e.g., Heal, Clone, Dodge/Burn), manually toggling each layer one by one with the mouse is very slow, breaks concentration, and provides no instant "Before/After" preview for the total retouching work. |
