Apply “Refine Mask” to Multiple Images at Once

Hello Capture One team,

I would like to suggest a small but very useful improvement to the AI Masking workflow in Capture One.

When working with a series of RAW images, Capture One can already create AI masks automatically — for example, a mask for a garment and another mask for the background. This works very well.

However, if I then want to use “Refine Mask” on those masks, I currently have to do this image by image.

It would be extremely useful to have an option such as:

Select multiple images → select the AI mask → Refine Mask → Apply to all selected images

Ideally, Capture One would process the existing AI masks independently on each image, rather than simply copying the mask from one image to another.

For example:

• 100 RAW images

• AI has already created a “Garment” mask on all 100 images

• AI has already created a “Background” mask on all 100 images

• I select all 100 images

• I choose “Refine Mask”

• Capture One refines the corresponding mask on every selected image automatically

This would save a tremendous amount of repetitive work, especially for photographers working with large fashion, product, portrait, or e-commerce shoots.

The important distinction is that I am not asking to copy one mask from one image to all other images. The AI masks already exist individually on every image. I am asking for the Refine Mask operation itself to be batch-processable across the selected images.

A simple “Refine on Selected Images” or “Refine All” option would make the AI masking workflow considerably more efficient.
